I hiked by myself to Aguas Calientes, small village below Machu Picchu with no road connection to rest of the world, woke up at 5 in the morning the following day and climbed the dark stairs surrounded by deep tropical forest to entrance of Machu Picchu. Then I climbed to the sumit of Wayna Picchu, when the first rays of light crept through the clouds above surreal peaks of steep mountains covered by green, revealing Machu Picchu nested in between them, like a hidden gem.
